Hey TMBLers
Unfortunately, the TMBL lost one of its members on Friday. Cory Graham of the Expos passed away tragically in a dirt bike accident. His brother was also involved and is in critical condition.
I was fortunate enough to spend some time with him during the tryouts. He really wanted to make a team and was elated that he was picked second overall. He said to a member of the board that he wanted to make the Expos proud for honouring him by choosing him second overall. Although he only played a few games, all who watched him were impressed. He had a great personality and a strong love of the game. He was one of us.
Funeral arrangements have not been set yet. Once they are we will relay that information. Although most did not know Cory well, I know that his family would greatly appreciate a good turnout from the TMBL. What separates us from other leagues is that we are a family; we play, we argue, we love our Saturday's spent together. Let's show our support for Cory and his family by celebrating his life
Also, if you have ideas on how we can honor Cory as a league, we would love to hear them.
Thanks,
Michael
